Seven coin reference publications:

  1. Type III Double Eagles 1877-1907 2nd edition by Mike Fuljenz. Nice reference on the Type III $20s, date-by-date analysis of strike characteristics, scarcity, etc. Also sections on history, proofs, and other topics. 237 pgs., color.

  2. Guide Book of Gold Dollars by Dave Bowers. Outstanding reference work on gold dollars date-by-date. 277 pgs., color.

  3. Guide Book of Liberty Seated Silver Coins by Dave Bowers. Exhaustive reference on every series from half dimes to trade dollars. 590 pgs., color.

  4. The Liberty Seated Dollar 1840-1873 by Weimar W. White. Ca. 1985 from Durst Publications. 85 pgs., black & white w/photos.

5-7. Three monographs by Walter Breen covering: Major Varieties of $3 Gold Pieces; Major Varietes of Gold Dollars; and New Varieties of $1, $2.50, and $5.00 U.S. Gold. Ca. 1960s, 16-24 pgs., black & white.
