1914 Cracker Jack Christy Mathewson HELP

Recently acquired this card and had it authenticated - the gentleman I got it from had the little missing corner piece. Did it get the authentic altered tag because of the missing corner? Anything could be done since I retained the piece? We will be talking price on Friday - what do you think a fair estimate of value? Have searched auction results but with the recent spikes in values I’m just not sure. Feel very fortunate to have handled such a wonderful piece of history. Any help is appreciated.

That cards in great shape with the exception of that corner!
Sad part is I have the corner too
That's kinda cool actually. Adds a layer of nostalgia to it. I doubt it's worth it to crack it out, somehow reattach it, and resub for another Authentic Altered grade. But at this point, over 100 years later, it does need to somehow stay with the card!
A grade of 1 is 30,000. It probably got the altered because it appears to be cut , rather than torn off. Don't crack a re-alter the card. it is super as is. there is no 1915 Cracker Jack Mathewson. And the 1914 were only in each box of C>K. no mail ins.
There certainly is a 1915 Cracker Jack Mathewson. Perhaps you meant to say the image had changed? Not my card unfortunately Nice card OP, and I agree keep the corner with the card!

I would think it makes the most sense to consign that piece to a major auction house if you are going to let it go.
Curious about the rare, mysterious and beautiful 1951 Wheaties Premium Photos?

1951, You're right, the pose is different. That 9 must have been a send-in rather than pulled from box. What a beauty.
Cool card. Don't see it often. I'd buy it if you want to make a quick flip for a fair price. Send me a PM if so.

PSA auction sales has an authenic listed at 18,000 as last purchase.
$18,000 would be a bargain for this card in today's market.
That 18,000 sale was Jan 1, 2010. It sure would sell for much more now.
That card is amazing to say the least. How long has cracker jack been around?
That 1915 card is unbelievable. I find it difficult to believe it's authentic in that condition.
When was it submitted with that low cert number?
