Hi!
New here! My grandfather got this coin from an relative sometime around 1960s, this relative hade lived for some years in LA, he got there as a sailor. My english isnt the best, i have looked on some sites but have difficult to understand the diffrent grades of condition and grades of these coins and now try this forum and see if i can get some help and more information! In my eyes the coin is in really good shape, it have been lying in a box with other old coins för att least 50 years.

@Icken.... Welcome aboard. Your image links do work and the pictures are quite clear. I would say your coin will grade XF40.... Cheers, RickO
Ok, thanks RickO, that was fun to know!
The photos are a bit small but I would agree with the grade of XF40. Do not clean the coin! The coin is a better date and has considerable value so take good care of it. It would probably be a good idea to have it slabbed by PCGS.
Looks more like AU53/55 to me, and very desirable and valuable as such for this date and mintmark.
Very nice find you have there!
