NEWP: 20 Cent Piece... thought, comments, and GTG if you want...
resized.jpg)
OK... with this piece (20 Cent) comes a milestone. I now have all of the different denominations of small change produced by US Mint represented in my Type Set. These have gotten ridiculously priced recently in XF to AU condition, so I feel I got this at somewhat of a "score"...

Nice original coin. Looks like a VF35 to me.

I would guess 30, but no matter what the great, what a wholesome coin!

XF40. BF-12 die.
I heard from John Frost this morning that our resident 20c expert astrorat is well, just super busy with work. With all the current nastyness floating around, I worry when a friend from this board doesn't log in for a few months.
I like the look of it, but you need to ditch that ugly white plastic!
Net grade VF35

Nice coin! I guess 30?
VF35
Thinking it may be one of the S/S.
I guess VF35
Love the coin, but I'm not familiar enough with grading this one.

Is that an S/S? The MM looks like something is going on with it.
I don't think so... it doesn't seem to match the images in coin facts... at least to my untrained eye.
...on second thought... what's going on with the left side of the MM? I just enlarged the image... I need better prescription eyeglasses ...

I will say VF35... As far as the mm, looks more like PMD... JMO. Cheers, RickO
I guess I'll pipe in as someone besides myself and @jesbroken needs to help the bell curve! 20 on a bad day and 25 on a normal day. A great day would be 30 IMHO.
35 and nice coin. I'm hoping it goes to 40
Here ya go... Thanks for the comments...

The raised lettering in liberty tends to throw a lot of guesses off on these. I have one that ANACS graded VF30/30 in the 1980's and PCGS graded it AU50 a few years back.
That maybe so but I expect a clear Liberty on an XF!
He didn't ask if we thought it would CAC, he asked us to GTG and the white prongs need to be guessed off of NGC standards. It has XF40 surfaces just not the old school technical meat but some of that is strike.

I bought this 1875P as a “nice VF” at a small show around 1986. A lot of luster that the photo doesn’t show, most of the toning due to long term Dansco storage. Often wondered what it would slab at….maybe someday:
I'll go 35. Stronger than usual "CENTS" reverse. Typically weak.

That coin looks better than some of the AU50's I passed up because the bidding got out of hand.
