"What is it called when the clad layer of one coin is transferred to another coin during striking?"
an amazingly super uber duper rare error, the likes of which i'm not entirely sure i've seen before. part of a layer breaking off and being struckthrough/stuck back to that coin is one thing but to actually get stuck to another coin with the pressure of a strike is a lot to ask of the metal. sure many have been struck through that detached piece though.

No this is something completely different. I can't realy explain what it is I've never come across anything even close to what this looks like, but it appears to have extra metal on the surface that looks to have been there when the coin was struck. When I'm able to I'll post a picture.
