Interesting 1970S LMC

Found something that appears to be either die deterioration or perhaps a die gouge. Nothing valuable but it is interesting IMHO.
At first I thought the lower part of the "L" in "LIBERTY" was doubled because the anomaly was rounded not flat shelf-like. Nothing else about the coin however has any doubling, which leads me to the above conclusion.

PMD? The lower part of the L looks split. First I thought it was a die chip, but the base of the L in that scenario looks too elevated.
Not sure....
Might be something like the VV DDO-026 but the lower loop in the mintmark does not look the same as the example coin.
A member of CONECA forum (Kloccwork419) guided me to the proper attribution. Coppercoins has it as a 1970S1DO004. The die markers on the reverse match up too.
Great stuff
Good catch... many (myself included) may well miss that one when scanning cents. Cheers, RickO
