I believe gold will break 2k soon. We should follow the trend and get more gold now. Once it break 2k it will go a lot higher.

GOLD $1,840.90 (+26.55)
As of just now.
breaking out of nice consoidation, good looking chart
The most important thing with today’s move up is the volume. Gld volume is 15m more than twice of average volume. Big guy is in.
Id rather it stay down; Im still trying to acquire it!
No doubt.....Rising interest rates have never been kind to gold.
Except, of course, 1979. That time period stands on it's own however......
What would happen to gold price if Russian invade Ukraine?
ничего не случится
looks like someone is accumulating to me.
Look at recently HA sold gold modern sounds very high to me.
2020 2 OZ NGC PR70 sold for $16,400
2021 5 OZ NGC PR70 sold for 21,600
2021 NGC PR70 10 OZ sold for 34,800
2021 NGCPR70 10 OZ sold for $32,400
2019 NGC PR69 one OZ sold for 5,520
These must have been foreign moderns.
Successful Trades: Swampboy,
Has to be very limited mintage foreign - can’t prove the last one but the us mint doesn’t produce anything over an ounce.
I just saw this kilo gold, mintage is 300 so it is not rare. Spink November 2021 Hong Kong Auction PCGS PR69 sold for 820,000 RMB about $129,235 USD.
mostly Great Britain
The Queens Beasts had a pretty good run in both Gold and Silver.

HA October, 2021 Auction. mintage 20 sold for $96,000
Examining the sales prices of proof collector gold proves nothing about bullion gold.
Buy one of those futures contracts you are watching and you get your choice of 100 Troy ounce bar or 3 kilo bars. All for about $1859 per ounce. This is the true reality for bullion prices.
When gold price move up those gold collector coin price will also move up.
On one side, inflation is at least helping to prop up gold. On the other side is the headwind of rising Treasury rates. And the Fed will jump in soon. I think gold, for now, trades in an up and down range.
Not necessarily. You often get compression of the numismatic premium. If you pay $5000 for $1840 worth of gold, a move to $1900 or $2000 probably won't move the price off $5000.
Inflation will dictate the gold movement for a while... Until the Fed jumps in... Then, depends on how hard they jump and for how often. Cheers, RickO
$1854 gold. $24.70 silver. Strong platinum. Fun to see. 😉 Stocks even joining for a minute up355.
I know, but it’s nice to see for a change, and change it will 😉

From CNBC today:
Reflecting investor sentiment, holdings of the world’s largest gold-backed exchange-traded fund, SPDR Gold Trust , jumped to the highest level since mid-December.
Growing geopolitical instability, notably Russia-Ukraine tensions, is also supporting gold, said Ricardo Evangelista, senior analyst at ActivTrades.
Russia has massed tens of thousands of troops on its borders with Ukraine, and Western states fear Moscow is planning a new assault on a country it invaded in 2014.
Platinum rose 2.8% to $1,050.91 and palladium gained 2.4% to $2,049.19 per ounce, both having hit their highest in about two months. Palladium rallied over 7% on Wednesday, while platinum jumped 5%.
The rally could have been related to supply concerns due to the Russia-Ukraine tensions, Commerzbank said in a note.
Potential Western sanctions on Russia, one of the biggest producers of palladium and an export ban on the metal, which is vital for the automotive industry, could lead to a severely under-supplied market, Commerzbank said.
And, for the Palladium fans:
Thanks @MilesWaits , Platinum metal groups looked strong yesterday with a $100+ gain in PD
It's all about what the people want...
With a revision from me
The dollar is likely to jump with local currencies falling
Even if gold remains unchanged in dollars, gold would likely go up in euros and other local currencies.
This walked in and out of the shop, a few days ago.
It was about .600 pure, by my test. And it was about 3 mm wide. Less than a gram.
Owner kept it. Looked ancient to me.
Then the following was listed on eBay and sold by auction for $218. When the owner received it, he said it was smaller than he expected and returned it for a full refund. I listed it in auction immediately upon return. It then sold for $243. A week later.
That translates to $2430 , from $2180 per ounce (in one week)
Go figure
Post some, if ya have some.
Not much left to price in. Expecting up to 4 increases in 2022 and gold still moves higher. No way will FED give us 4 this year.
Mark
I have 4 palladium in for grading now thought they would be back by now. At least they are going up. Love this coin.
Hoard the keys.
everybody, please relax.....and be realistic
there is absolutely ZERO either one of you or I, can do anything about what will happen in the next few weeks....
Buy???? sell??? flip a coin...I buy high quality and rare..... always.
whatever you do, buying paper is not the idea....
also, when you buy NOT certified or otherwise guaranteed, use XRF to make sure you get what you are paying for.
remember, our "friends" in the PRoC are not sleeping...
Smaller than expected.
Was that the amount gold moved up during shipping?
I like the 1/10th ounce but not the premiums on it, so try to score as close to spot as possible
The only exception made was for the 2021 One-Tenth Ounce Gold Two-Coin Set Designer Edition from the mint for 635$ with both Type 1 and Type 2 reverse (pics of which were posted last week on another thread https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/comment/13147785#Comment_13147785 )
