Being that it’s a pawn shop and the condition of the book he would prolly jump at a 60% offer. But it’s not for me.
I have that Mexican type book complete, including the 1919 one peso and I agree the one you are looking at is too much. Mine is complete and mostly unc and I am in it around 1200 or so, so I think I am ok. The keys, IIRC, are the one peso Cabalitto and the 1919 (yours appears to be the 1918) as well as the 1921 two peso, if in high grade. There are some smaller denomination early dates as well, but nothing dramatic. As pictured, $400-500 appears a better estimate.
We sold an MS64, MS65 and an MS66 at public auction in the past 18 months as well as another MS66 in a private treaty deal. So, most of the very finest specimens came through our hands over the past few years. This is a great coin with plenty of demand and, until recently, plenty of supply of super quality specimens due to the sale of the Justhavingfun massive hoard of USPI great coins spanning 14 USPI coin series. As those sales wind down, a new generation of collectors have been introduced to the wonderful, bi-National, Unites States-Philippine coin series. This was precisely JHF’s hope and desire as he loved these coins as much as anyone ever has!

It must be rare, I've looked for one since your first post and have not found one. Probably out of my range anyway.

There aren’t any for sale in usa but I was able to track some people in the Philippines who would sell them to me. Needless to say I bought them all. My goal is to own a large percentage of the surviving population

I mean there aren’t any United States sellers online selling the coin.
If people don't realize the value of the coin (you're asking if it's a sleeping giant), why would they make any effort to advertise having them for sale?

I have a much easier USPI dated 1903-S to hoard. The 50 Centavos as opposed to this 20 Centavos “sleeping giant”.
The 1903-S Fifty Centavos is a MINTAGE 2 coin. Makes “hoarding” so much easier!! 😂

That seems unlikely. Maybe not any you are aware of...
I mean there aren’t any United States sellers online selling the coin. It’s possible there could be a couple at the coins shows around the country.

Try assembling a Circulated business. strike set. 144 coins..
vf xf Au if you can find. BU's in last dates still out there.
10 years to finish my AU set. most very rare pieces are in fine, only a few.
I am working on it. I am about 1/3 done with the entire set. Most of my coins are vf or xf.
This specimen from the Pasig River Collection sold for $5,520 on an estimate of $1,500-$2,000 back in 2019. That's a strong price for a sleeper!
One of those images is misleading.
