Asked at the bank today about rolls of halves . . . .

ms71ms71 Posts: 1,546 ✭✭✭✭✭

They had four rolls, so why not. Found five 40%-ers: a 1966, a 1967, and three 1968-Ds. More than I expected, which was none.

Successful BST transactions: EagleEye, Christos, Proofmorgan,
Coinlearner, Ahrensdad, Nolawyer, RG, coinlieutenant, Yorkshireman, lordmarcovan, Soldi, masscrew, JimTyler, Relaxn, jclovescoins

Now listen boy, I'm tryin' to teach you sumthin' . . . . that ain't no optical illusion, it only looks like an optical illusion.

My mind reader refuses to charge me....

    YES!

Good for you, dude. The odds were most certainly against you too.
Out of only 80 halves, you pulled out that many? Wow.
Comes to approx. $17 in silver.

Gotta remember to ask more often. The guy had to dig some to find them stuck away somewhere "in the back room".

Congratulations. Awhile ago I found. 2 customer wrapped rolls. Everyone was from the 70’s & 80’s but zero silver and most were beat.

That’s a good amount of 40% , according to what I see following the roll hunters. 👍🏼

These mostly had pretty substantial wear. Surprised me a bit since they haven't seemed to circulate much in recent decades.

I don’t remember them circulating much in the day.

That is great for just a few rolls. I keep meaning to get back to searching half dollar rolls. Always forget to ask when I am at the bank. Cheers, RickO

... And they will say, yeah we've got lots, come back to the vault. And then when you get there loud music will start playing "never going to give you up". You have been Ricko rolled...
