How in the world is this not off topic?

I decided not to bid on this but I was seriously tempted. And no, it's not OT at all!

Old documents such as that one are interesting. Another 'time capsule', indicating how different business was conducted then, compared to now. Cheers, RickO

I watch that movie twice a year! With all the news surrounding it at that time it did perk my interest in horse racing!

Gorgeous piece of art, and historic too!

One of my most exciting events as a young man was back in June 1973, attending the Belmont Stakes with 69,000+ other fans, and watching live as Secretariat won that race by a record 31 lengths, a record that still stands today, almost 50 years later! One of the most electrifying events in sports history! I shared that day with my father-in-law, who is still alive today.

He would've loved the ease of betting from your home, while checking out coins between races.
