Yes, many times counterfeiters will have items on the market before the mint will. :/

  • johnny9434johnny9434 Posts: 28,674 ✭✭✭✭✭

    That didn't take long

  • tincuptincup Posts: 5,237 ✭✭✭✭✭

?? might be helpful to explain what you are talking about. Bad meaning...

    counterfeit?

    baaaad..... meaning good?
bad... meaning you are just trolling?

BAD not made at US mint

Not Trolling just trying to inform those that are not aware of this!

Maybe I should have said noting and let those looking only at price buy worthless items?

He is definitely not a troll he has been here for some time. He is just trying to inform others.

While true, not everyone knows that (just the word) "bad" means counterfeit.

Thanks for the heads-up. I knew the Chinese were counterfeiting ASE's but I didn't think they'd do the current year's ASE this fast. :#

It's very disheartening the depths some will go to in order to cheat others. It's not new but there are always new targets for the corrupt to take advantage of.

Pat never uses two words when one will do.

That said, I did think from the OP that there was maybe s milk spotting or other issue on the '22s.

If there aren't milk spots on the counterfeit, it's a bad counterfeit.

Pat thanks for the heads up. For you kiddies out there, 'bad' translates to ..hey, don't buy ASE before the mint issues them. Pay attention.

Smh. No good deed goes unpunished.

Some posters didn’t know what “bad” meant - there was no punishment dished out for the OP’s good deed.

Would not the "men in black" (Treasury/Secret Service/FBI types) confiscate any of these fake dollars as they are not mark as a copy?

I have hard of a report recently of intercepted counterfeits

I have heard a few reports where an individual’s package from overseas was opened and the contents seized.

We’re fighting a tidal wave with a mop and leaky bucket. It doesn’t help that foreign governments are not taking the same view of the problem as the USA.

Anyway, the men in black would need to see enough green to really get involved in an operation.

Is this dark rim line over the E and R a "tell" on the counterfeit?

The problem with a "tell" is that there is more than one Chinese counterfeiting factory and each one will have a different "tell".
