Something is going on with the mint mark, doesn’t really look like a repunched but I don’t know.

    That could be it but I’m not sure what the stuff going on below the S is, maybe machine doubling.

    Looks like a die chip at the top of the S and machine doubling at the bottom. Cheers, RickO

    I think it's MDD with a nice die chip included.

    But both chip and doubling soooo tiny, that they are only of academic interest?

    It is the correct MM-005 used in 1943 - and it looks as if the problem (chip) was on the die Punch. ??
