    :D I have noticed a lot more misspellings than just 'nickel'.... It surprises me the frequency encountered here on the forum. If I detect an error in one of my posts, I always edit and correct the word. Cheers, RickO

    Agree. It's obvious some here don't bother to proofread their posts. :#

    Believe it or not, but there are probably people in our great country that are not proficient in spelling and have to rely on modern technology to spellcheck that only relies on what it is programmed with. Do we really have to belittle those who are not quite as intelligent as others?

    I've worked in technical fields for over 30 years and you would be surprised at how many engineers can't spell, and I'm one of them

    In addition, you now have these damn, small keyboards on phones and tablets, and crappy autocorrect programs (just type in planchet) and it's a wonder I can even post a coherent message :D

    That's why I try not to be critical of typos and spelling errors

    So let's talk about Nickel.
    It's doubled in five years. Is it worth now a dime or was the OP just a rant on spelling ?

    At the risk of not being PC, lack of educational opportunities or whatever should not be a blanket excuse for lack of care. Obvious misspellings should be corrected, and when in doubt, people savvy enough to post on these forums should be able to Google up the proper spelling of words.
