What a waste of pennies...

Interesting story. I am sure many of you would love to have these, oil, garage grease, dirt or not!
what is the maximum legal amount one can pay with individual denomination coins?
in Canada, it is limited per denomination.

I dunno about coins, but I thought that cash must be accepted for all financial transactions in the good old USA. Not when I wanted to buy snacks on the Alaska Air flight last week. Plastic only...
So how does one acquire all those cents in such short time? I don't think many banks have that on hand.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
All depends - British pennies - or US cents? Copper or Zincolns??
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
that's trips to several banks.
we have no limit on denominations, but just as a store can refuse $50s and $100s, they can refuse 91500 in cents.
So the guy complains when he is not paid and then complains when he is paid. Just can't make some people happy... Just kidding, don't roast me.
Looks like this little stunt got the Labor Department's attention and is going to cost the employer quite a bit of money. Leaving 500 pounds of oil soaked pennies dumped on the driveway was a pretty juvenile and low act.
Here is the previous post. https://forums.collectors.com/discussion/1054549/georgia-man-receives-915-in-pennies-as-final-paycheck
Employer is probably lucky they didn't get slapped with environmental fines for oil/waste dumping
That is just spiteful.... Glad to see there will be some legal action. Cheers, RickO
