I have a different example and can tell you that I’ve begged, pleaded, emailed. Called the parent company. No information back. They are very good at responding but not about these. There’s peace dollars and Morgan’s. The rainbow have been $300 plus. They have ignored multiple requests. I’ve bought some nice proof coins (different single,in flips) from them and ask about the mystery packs. Nada 😉
Soooo... someone took 500 AU Morgan Dollars and artificially toned them... wrapped them up in a fancy colorful holder... and is now declaring them to be authentic??
Collecting: Dansco 7070; Middle Date Large Cents (VF-AU); Box of 20;
Still can't figure out what the company name is. Unless it's "Limited Edition Rainbow Collection". No address, no phone, no website. Buh bye. Peace Roy

Hmmm... get rid of the fancy holders and just paste 500 AT'd Morgan Dollars to a poster board. That'd look pretty cool... lol...

The kids today are so much more high tech. You could make it a game. Let some of them create the tye dye holders and teach the others the numismatic hokey pokey…
You put the cathode there…
You put the anode here…
We dump our super mix in and shake all about…
You do the hokey pokey and you slosh them all around…
That’s what it’s all about.
Then you could show the girls how to use an EZ bake oven to cook them to perfection.

But on a serious note, the holders are interesting. I wonder if the holder is PVC free.
They look like the vinyl holders that have plagued so many foreign commemoratives from the 1970s and 1980s. If they don’t have PVC the coins at least usually get super hazy.

At least with @braddick’s coin we know it was authenticated by a professional numismatist. Yours? Could have been anyone, so you just can’t trust it.
But, but, but there’s some sort of initials on the inside cover. Couldn’t they be from a famous numismatist, maybe a mint director, don’t they look like John Mercanti!!! Somebody help me 😂🙀
Who says there is a company or a TPG??
I believe that there is no law, norm, or other regulation presently in place in the USA to make this illegal, assuming the coins are authentic. these guys just simply had the idea and courage to do it because they were hoping for a market!
None of us has to like it or dislike it.
Anyone can do it. There are many other sellers on the bay selling "rainbow" coins.
So, what is the actual problem? IF there is one?
Why is it Garbage and Dreck? is it because some of you do not like it? (personally, I do not care about it)
These could all be perfect coins!
Again guys, WHAT is the issue here?
I don't think this is a case of it being a third-party grading service. It looks like a mail-order dealership who put his coins in some fancy packaging to make them more marketable.
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.
I know that Gem BU is not a grade per say and it is offered that a "professional" numismatist authenticated the coin. That leads to presenting company and personnel bonafidies to the market being targetted. IMHO.
Maybe they offer the famous "three levels of service"......
I'll stick with PCGS thank-you, but when I'm in doubt, I send it to these four reputable companies who guarantee their strict ethical grading standards..............

Actually, they couldn't all be perfect coins. The example posted looks to be far from perfect, as well as AT. But maybe that's just due to the imaging.

The proper numismatic term is dreck.

Probably not for long. We could end up with some real “monsters.”
