2004-S Proof Iowa State Quarter- Valuable?

Hi everyone,

I found this 2004-S Proof Iowa quarter today and I can't find anything definitive online about its value, not even a price range. Wondering if anyone on here would be of any help? Thanks!

Is is silver or clad? Check the edge for a middle copper layer. It's an Impaired proof so if silver it would be worth around $4 silver content. If clad you are probably just at face value because of condition.

  • I think clad? I'm not sure since I'm still new to it all but I think clad. Can you confirm?

Yep clad - the copper inner core is shining brightly.......

Still a fun find - save it in a 2x2 for a reference coin.

Where can I find good value coin holders/storage items? Sorry for so many questions, like I said I'm new to this all. Thanks!

Look up BCW coin supplies - can't go wrong.

Definitely a clad coin... and 'appears' to have typical circulation dings/wear. Good album coin. Just google coin supplies... lots of online sources. Cheers, RickO

It is a good album coin but is unlikely to ever have much of a numismatic premium. If you got it for face value you are into it at the right price.
