Now we have a CAC Forum thread!

It’ll be locked soon enough. It’s off topic and I’m sure not appreciated by the hosts. But it’s human nature to speculate and pontificate :)

All threads on this forum inevitably lead to CAC.

Not all of them. Maybe 99%…

Thick skin indeed! I've gotten upset in this place more than once, and even took a very long hiatus. If a reply is corrective, fine and dandy.

It's the overboard stuff holier than thow Baloney comments you gotta endure.

Does anyone remember a member here, "Founding Father," who started a relatively successful forum of his own after being banned here?
A spin-off forum was formed from it, too, that was a bit more evil.

Granted I am a relative Noob here, IMO he certainly contributed much and hopefully will continue posting.

Yes but there comes a time when it's just not worth it anymore. Why bother when it's no longer fun

Exactly. I reached that conclusion on posting about CAC issues. Just wasnt worth it to me anymore on this forum. Luckily after I made that decision another option opened up minus the nonsense.

Really? That's unfortunate. I always enjoy civil discussion.

Are the CAC Forums the "safe space" for CAC only movement?

Colonel Jessup wasn’t banned. He asked for his account to be deleted on the CAC Forums.

    Oh! Okay. Thanks.
Is he taking a hiatus? He had a lot of knowledge to share.

No. He was annoyed to say the least and asked for his account to be permanently deleted.

If you get annoyed, just stop posting there. It takes a real drama queen to request that their account be permanently deleted. Just my opinion.

Meh. He was taking a principled stand. Drama queen territory is more like the goodbye threads, especially the fake ones. The poster feigns victimization and vanishes for all of 48 hours to return.

It's never a good idea to burn your bridges. He may want to come back some day and resume posting. I've been thinking about joining over there and since the ColonelJessup moniker is no longer being used, I may pick it as my new moniker. ;)

Just wasnt worth my time. Civil discussion is fine but it was the same cliches and the same mischaracterizations. I mainly posted to share my experiences to help others but the same people would hijack any thread and so it didnt help others and I found it boring. I'm fine not posting on here about CAC and just watching my CAC coins grow in value :)

Bruce is one of the true gems in the history of our hobby IMHO. No one surpassed his enthusiasm that I've met currently living. I never understood the needless attacks. Its a hobby for heavens sake! Perhaps Pittman in his day was his better in that department. And MR. M still owns an amazing national treasure, that had a long distinction as the most valuable coin until last year. I think we should resolve in 2022 to treat each other with kindness and respect. The same way you would treat someone in person, face to face.

From the little time I have spent reading that forum it seems that a few individuals are intent on making it the PCGS CAC forum. So far I have seen little in the way of education but lots of bashing of anything not PCGS; so I guess its a safe space for buyers of only PCGS CAC.

Yeah, right. He was throwing a tantrum. Apparently, he can't trust himself to simply not post so he insists on getting booted. He's done it here at least twice.
