Date and Mintmark are both wrong. The fake edge toning is also a tell.

The color makes it instantly suspicious to me. Toned dark and then scrubbed to that dull color.

It's got the look... of typical Chinese fake dollars that are plated brass.
Looks just like the 100's of others I've seen, complete with the "shoe polish" grime. Fake from an arms length away, no question, no debate.
