This is an Off-Center...
The only off-center dimes I have are Roosevelts. Here's a picture of a couple that I took out of circulation years ago.

@gumby1234 they do look a lot alike. However, your Mercury is older and had to be tough to find in this condition after all those years. This makes me wonder how many people had these off-center dimes in their hands before someone took them out of circulation.
