I found this 1958 DDO

It looks like the big one online. It matches perfect! What do you think

No deterioration on this coin because it looks uncirculated. Thanks for feed back

I've seen double like that back in the day after a few shots of Wild Turkey.

There might be something going on, but I don't see any doubling in the date. The pictures are not quite in focus enough to see the exact condition, but it is not doubled like "the big one".

Keep looking! Do you enjoy collecting coins? Looking for errors? Do you like the classics?

There is no doubling in the date of the Big One anyway.

But there is no doubling on the OPs coin that matches an authentic 58 DDO either.

The deterioration is on the die before striking.

Your coin is NOT a doubled die. 100p.

You shouldn't have to "look close" to see it. You have been provided with photos of the DD and yours does not look like that, does it. :|

Seriously, you all can see something clearly with all the pixelization and out of focus pics? All I see is a blob with no definition.

To try to validate a DDO of this magnitude with photos like you have provided is like trying to identify a parking sign manufacture label with a magnifying glass from space. These photos are of no benefit in this endeavor. Try just a good quality photo that can be enlarged.

Edited to add, this DDO needs no magnification.

It's not the big 58 DDO, you will not convince anyone here that it is.

If I stand 1000 feet away, I might be able to see those blown-up pixelated images more clearly...

and still there'd be no DDO, sorry.

Are there known DDs for these dates/mm? Do yours exactly match them? ;)

Also, it would be best to start your own thread as your coins are not related to the thread's title.

If you start a new topic, "what kind of doubling is this", then all of the experts will be there as well... 👍
