    Use l and pretend it’s an l or a I or a 1 for greater flexibility

For me,on a personal level, it’s the letter before m. Lately I’ve been recognizing it as the letter after J ( which conveniently is the first letter of my name James 😉

    Why are you ignoring K?

  • Who's ignoring? I'm new on this. I just want an opinion on the 1958 DDO I found

  • It graded maybe an AU 50

    Two 'L's on a coin:

    Silver, 30.0 mm, 10.42 gm
Writing on both sides "LL" and "CH"

    Letters on coin:
Obverse: The letters "LL", "AND", and "CH".
Reverse: The letters "LL" and "CH" on the cross.

Why is Six afraid of Seven? Because Seven Eight (ate) Nine!

What is a vintage L worth anyway?

  • 1630Boston1630Boston Posts: 13,989 ✭✭✭✭✭

The three L's were formerly vaunted by seamen who despised the use of nautical astronomy; viz. lead, latitude, and look-out, all of them admirable in their way. Dr. or Captain Halley added the fourth L--the greatly desired longitude.

Clearly he intended to discuss 50 something, right? Afterall, the Roman numeral L = 50. 50 cent coin? 50 dollars paid?
