Is there a mad rush for coins in PCGS rattlers(1st gen holders) with CAC stickers?

Anyone else notice this of late? Or, has it been going on for a while now?
I have a coin in a PCGS 1st Gen OGH/CAC up for auction right now, and it has a high tracking rate as well as viewer rate. Much higher than my other lots.
What have you seen out there?

Yes, this is a thing.
Rattlers have been popular for a while but it does seem like there might be some extra interest in the last year. If you have a rattler with a nicely toned coin and CAC, that is the perfect trifecta.
The market is hot and this seems to be one of the items the current market wants.
Especially if it contains a very nice coin that fits your collection. Causes collectors to spend stupid money and not care.
Like this one?
That's an amazingly clean 1881-S Morgan!

I think it’s just nice coins in rattlers in general. Add CAC and it’s even worse.
I’ve been looking for nice coins of a certain series in rattlers for a few years now and all of a sudden they’re going for 5x or more of what they used to.
I really probably should sell all I have…
I think of PCGS rattler slabs as being like the first edition of a best selling book. They're the first and they're the oldest and they're not making them anymore. In fact, their population drops every year as they are cracked out for regrading and reslabbing. Compared to the current slabs, they're quite primitive which makes them quaint and interesting.
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

I will avoid the stampede - I like coins, not slabs. Cheers, RickO
what an incredible looking coin! I'd love to see the back of this one.
I wouldn’t have commented, were it not for two extremely enthusiastic remarks about the coin. While it looks nice, there’s a mark or two on Liberty’s upper cheek, beneath her eye and another one to the right of star 5.

Would an MS67 ever be free of such marks and not get upgraded to a 68+ or the elusive 69? I've been looking for this exact coin myself recently in a 67 and haven't been able to find any without at least a couple of marks on them. If I grab one with this obverse I'd be over the moon.
Mark,
Mark on cheek is present, the mark you see at star 5 is not on coin, its a small crack in the plastic case.
Thank you and glad to hear it.
