2 new Morgan pick-ups, guess the grade/sticker

So, I bought these 2 new Morgans for my Christmas present to me from a local dealer. When I bought them, he had already sent them to CAC, and said the price was good regardless of sticker, waited a few days, and got them yesterday. I am very happy with both of them. The cert number is there, guess the grade if you like. they are graded the same, and one got a sticker, one did not. Which one do you think got the sticker and why? They both look nice in hand and very little difference in quality at all IMO. I guess what really matters is I am happy with both.
Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.

I would guess 66PL for both and the bottom one stickered. I think both are beautiful coins. Congratulations!
As it is a tougher date with the GEM attributes it has- I'd go with the 1898-O having the CAC endorsement and the 1885-O not having it.

Top one has a rim ding around 10 o'clock. Bottom has craters in the middle hair/ear area. I'm not experienced enough to put a grade out there so I will follow to see what the experts say
66PL was my first impression. And I think the 85 got the sticker, just cause Liberty’s cheek is nicer.

65PL and the top with the sticker.
Pretty coins!

I would guess the grades at 65... I am a tad critical of Morgans... They both look like they have good fields... As to the sticker..... maybe the bottom one.... Hard to tell from pictures. Cheers, RickO
65DMPL. Put a sticker on the 98-O, as the mirrors look better.

98-O CAC
Beautiful coins regardless.

64DMPL CAC the top one for better eye appeal.
My guess would be 65 DMPL, and the top one didn't sticker due to depth of mirrors. Nice coins!
Beautiful Morgans

Nice coins Sweet! I know the answers so can’t put a guess in
65PL, 64PL. Edit, note to self, read the description. Both 65 PL. Top gets sticker.
Y’all are all right on target with your guesses, no one was way off. The coins are so close I just wanted opinions on why one stickered and other did not, and I got some good insight. The 85-o cheek is slightly cleaner and a touch fewer obverse marks. The 98-o mirrors are slightly deeper. Y’all picked up on both of these points. When it came down to it, I think the contact marks on the cheek mattered most. Thanks for participating.

Both are really nice coins...thanks for posting!

I’m a little late, but I had them both at 65 or maybe a plus. Based on the TV, I was thinking only PL, but your additional pics really show the watery mirrors better. I also thought the top one would be the CAC one because of the overall mark free look.
Really nice pickups!
With Those pics I say DMPL, The TruViews don't look DMPL. The strike on the 85 is a tad better, probably why it stickered.

Interesting. I was going to say very forgiving for 65 but we know PCGS is not. After seeing the actual pic I was reminded of how discriminating a True View can be. Nice coins and thanks for the lesson.
Happy Merry Christmas
I didn't peek and my guess is the 1885 got the sticker but both very nice coins.
Those photos much better than the TruView and easy to see why they got the DMPL.
Hair and wing edges on the 98-O stopped CAC, in my opinion.

I think the carbon/black spot on the hair eliminated any chance of the CAC. Unfortunately we all had them and unless the size of a sand spec, don't believe they should ever qualify for a sticker.
