German States Dog Paddle (tip of the hat to WorldCoinGuy)

My focus is on exemplars. I do go for the best I can afford, but I am more interested in variety rather than condition, so my collection may appear junky, but it is what keeps me interested. Sometimes I will get examples of the same coin, just to enjoy the differences.

Is that 2/3 taler from Saxe-Lauenburg? What is the story with the counterstamp on the 2nd example?
@harasha - I think you are being modest. The loot in your August thread was worth close examination (Barcelona piece in particular):

The 2/3 talers are from Saxe-Lauenburg. The counterstamp marks the Franconian Circle.
I am not familiar with the purpose of the counterstamp. I would presume that it would mark the coin fit for circulation within the administrative area which roughly corresponded to Bavaria.
