UPDATE: My Missing CC & O Shipment/Coins...Mint Just Sent Replacement Coins Out of the Blue!
So...an update on my Morgan Dollar misadventures with the Mint...a brief history:
Like everyone else, I battled on Day 1 to place my order...and successfully placed an order for 5 privy CCs and 5 Os...which I believe was the HHL in force on that first day...and then like everyone else, I waited...until I finally received a message that the coins were shipped on 10/24.
After about a week, I checked the USPS tracking that revealed that the Post Office never received the package from the Mint's Indiana Jones style warehouse...so after another week, I called the Mint and was essentially told "Don't sweat...the shipment will get moving soon."
So then I waited...and still no movement...so I called back [again] the day after Thanksgiving and again laid out my case, but by this time I also knew that others on this board had similar issues and had their missing coin shipment essentially replaced and reshipped.
After arguing on the phone with increasing higher levels of customer service droids, I was assured and reassured and re-re-reassured that nobody had received replacement coins(!!!) and that the only thing they could do was to apply a credit to my card...but only after another 4-6 weeks...because they would also attempt to trace the missing package.
So I reluctantly agreed...and then nothing until this Tuesday afternoon when suddenly the coins went back on sale...so I logged in...AND SURPRISE...I WAS BLOCKED DUE TO HITTING THE HHL...ON MY CANCELLED/REFUNDED ORDER!
But wait...there's more...
At 2:30 Tuesday afternoon, I then received another shipping notice...completely out of the blue...with a totally different tracking number. Apparently, my "cancelled" 10 coins had been found and/or replaced and were again on the move and are supposed to be delivered this weekend.
And that's where I am now...thoughts/comments/recommendations for alcoholic beverages...?
