Sending PM

I am a new user and want to PM someone. I've been looking at other discussions on how to do it but nothing allows me even see an option or a window to do this. I see nothing in my profile that would allow me to send a PM. I tried using Edge and Chrome browser. I do not see any yellow lock icon anywhere. I do not see any message window when I click on the person's name. I've googled this but I'm not finding any clues. I'm sure that the issue is on my end but I know my eyes aren't that bad yet that I can't see any icons or message options or boxes. Thanks in afvance.

Welcome to the forum!
As a new user you may need to wait several hours for your membership to be approved to be able to use all forum functions.
Welcome.
There is tool bar at the top of your screen. Go to the right-hand side of the tool bar. It looks like this:

Position your cursor over the inbox icon, second from left, and left click. This will result in a drop-down menu.
Position your cursor over "new message", and left click.
Edited to add:
Should have been more clear. This is one way to do it. However, as @ifthevamzarockin and @MsMorrisine have pointed out, this will not work until you are a "Member".

I think on the first day i joined (actually rejoined), my tools/options weren't active right away. Took a day?
Similar to posting comments. Sometimes new members get the “ wait til it clears” flag. Welcome when I returned I had a few day wait. I searched and read old posts to pass the time 😉
🎶 shout shout, let it all out 🎶
It looks like you are now an approved forum member, you should be able to use all forum functions now.
Thanks!
Oh! You were talking to MetroD!
All - thanks for all of your quick responses and explanations. I am able to PM now. I thought I had received a message that I was now a "member, but I may have jumped the gun? In any case, I am good to go! Looking forward to using this forum.
yeah, post a good picture of a coin, and you will get comments and opinions about the grade, whether it is an error or damaged, approximate value, and useful trivia!
