THE GREED OF BOT USERS TO BRING ON FEDERAL REGULATION

The continuing greed of bot users is now effecting a greater number of everyday consumers. The news is full of stories of bot users buying up large quantities of hard to find popular Christmas items. There is and will be greater pressure for congress as well as retailers to do more to control the use of bots. Greed will be their downfall.

I'm sure the government knows best. What could possibly go wrong?
You gotta do more to tie into coins
Just sayin
The problem is that there are a lot of useful bots out there. A lot of shopping bots out there. It isn't the bots, it's the use of the bots.
People have always tried to game the system. It's just easier now. The only way to really stop it is to change consumer behavior.
This thread has nothing to do with coins.
I’m pretty sure bots have been accused of sucking the life out of some US Mint products. They sell COINS.
The problem may only get worse when they start self replicating.

Yep, inventory sucking bots. Nothing new. Gov't should be able to afford anti-bot sucking software. Haven't heard of any Fed Regulation. Can you point me to it?
What I want to know is, how do these bots get credit cards? And where do they store all this stuff they are buying?
And I never understood how they could press the right keys on the keyboard with those robot hands.
Were bots used by some by some buyers when the mint sold very limited coin issues that sold out in a couple minutes?

As technology advances, the methods for circumventing sales controls (i.e. bots at this time) will also evolve. Cheers, RickO
Bet you have family that depends on the highways, SS, Medicare, national parks and many many other federal programs like clock work and get incensed at the slightest hiccups. People over estimate the disfunction of the feds too often. Typically only when it either asks for something back or does something nice for someone that isn’t them. Just sayin

@Crypto:
You lose your bet. Just sayin'.
The govt does a number of necessary things that are needed by society, but the don't have the competitive pressure like the private sector. If I don't like the customer service or quality of A product, I can usually find another vendor or product. If I have problems with the DMV or potholes in my road, where do I go? In my industry, I am constantly working on making things "better, faster, cheaper". If not, a competitor will come up with something better
Why should the mint invest in new technology, training, resources, etc? They have a monopoly. They may do it to increase sales, but if the technology isn't implemented completely and correctly, where is the urgency to fix it.
Not saying govt shouldn't do anything. Society needs many of the services they provide (roads, law enforcement, etc). I just believe that if we want the govt to take care of something, we should be aware of the built in inefficiencies, and the mint is a good example. Just my opinion
My guess is the thread will get poorer soon, but here is a coin to keep this vaguely numismatic ally related
