1888 Proof Set

For the past year, I have been working on a collecting project, code named the 1888 Project. It started last December when I bought a coin on my bucket list — a proof Morgan dollar. That led to an attempt to assemble an 1888 non-gold proof set.
I’m proud to present it. I hope you guys and gals enjoy seeing it!
First is the 1888 Indian Head cent. Graded PF66 BN by PCGS. It has a CAC green sticker.
Now, an 1888 3-cent nickel. Graded PR66 by PCGS. It has a green CAC sticker.
The 1888 Liberty nickel. Graded PF66 by NGC.
The 1888 Liberty Seated Dime. Graded PF65 by NGC.
The 1888 Liberty Seated Quarter. Graded PR63 and cameo by PCGS.
The 1888 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. Graded PR64 and cameo by PCGS.
And last, but not least, the coin that started all of this. Graded PF62 by NGC.

Is 1888 special to you in some way?
Not really. 1888 was the date of the Morgan proof I could swing pricewise. The idea for the set came from that.

This is a really cool idea. It looks like proof sets started in 1936 I may try doing one of these in 35 or earlier.

1921 to 35 is out there is only one proof Peace dollar and it’s about a half mill
1900 is doable.
