Seated Quarter Newp, guess the grade!

DelawareDoonsDelawareDoons Posts: 3,413 ✭✭✭✭✭

I picked this up, couldn't resist the NGC 3.0 holder. I already had a Seated Quarter for my type set but couldn't resist picking this one up too.

Take a shot at the grade!

I took a quick Vid for an additional data point when guessing.

Nice luster and color! The video really helped show your coin! The photo's are really great too!

I have the same date/mm in 64 with color too.

Nice coin in a no line fatty. Still, I think it got a lofty MS 66 back then.

I'll say 64 after seeing video.

That's a tough call, even with your video. The pictures are flat and the video is alive! 61-64 is my range.

Yes I'm going to redo my lighting. It's great for toners and Proofs and whatnot but makes other stuff too flat.

I will say MS63.... Just do not think it quite makes the next step... Could be my perception... Cheers, RickO

I said 63, but after seeing the video it wouldn't shock me if it went higher...

Based on the photo, I was going to say 58, as I see a very slight touch of high point rub, but the video changed my mind completely, and I voted 65! I don't see why that coin is not a gem. It certainly looks gemmy.

It looks like it has fewer marks than my PCGS MS64 of this date, but the luster is duller. Add one point, subtract one point, and we're back to MS64.
