What have I got here???

Found this quarter years ago and put in a flip, marked it wrong planchet and moved on. Just got a new scale, so what is it and where's it from? 5 7 grams and no copper I can see.

Looks like a Chinese quarter. RGDS!

I would say the weight is within tolerance of a Quarter (5.67g). Maybe the copper just not showing thru.

I'm guessing plated as well. Back during the 50 state quarter program there were a bunch of novelty items sold on the home shopping network, plated, colorized etc.

Yes. They plated them with EVERYTHING. I've seen platinum, silver, gold, platinum, Palladium.

I agree with plated.... Have seen a couple like that. A little scrape in the reeded edge will show copper. Cheers, RickO
