Now there is a person who is truly immersed in numismatics.... I wonder what his hobby is??
Cheers, RickO
This is very cool!
We have battleships and other US Navy vessels named after people.
I never realized we have US Mint presses named after people too!
Dave Camire’s bio and picture is on the website of the Royal Mint. Impressive!

Yes. That picture of Dave Camire striking coins at the S.F.Mint is about how good as it gets!
What an incredible list of Mints and museums to have visited! I'm so jealous!
Have to remind myself to ask Dave how to get invited to so many Mints!
@Zoins
It’s amazing how many Mints around the world that Dave Camire has been too. And He also assisted/ advised several of the Mints. Very impressive!
I decided to check out David Camire on Google this morning and found out some great info!
One of the coolest things is that, among many other things, he's President of NCS and helped restore @crazyhounddog's coins!
Check this out. The before photo reminds me of Ghost Busters for some reason

Dave is a full-on car enthusiast. He drove my Lambo when he was at the Long Beach coin show years ago.
Awesome! Good to know! I'd love to drive your Lambo one day too!
I have to wonder if those are 5 things his neighbors don't know about him, they must all know he's a coin nut!

Zoins- it’s a stick shift. You drive a stick shift right?
It’s fun to open it up just a bit in the open road, but around the Strip (Las Vegas) it’s mostly stop and go…
