1878 CC for the Morgan date album

SkyManSkyMan Posts: 9,493 ✭✭✭✭✭

While I prefer Peace dollars to Morgan dollars, let's face it, a big silver coin is nice to hold in one's hands. So, I decided to do a Morgan date album.

While there are clearly less expensive 1878 mintmarks than the CC to find to represent the year, there is something about the CC mintmark to start off the set. This is just a fun set, and I have no specific grade/condition that I'm looking for. It's basically whatever Morgan for a given year caught my eye at a B&M or at a show. There are also a slug of Morgans that I will be including that IMO are not the greatest looking, but I inherited them from my paternal grandparents years ago, and for that reason they are special to me. The images are by Bob Campbell, and I think he did an excellent job.

Did you get a discount for the environment damage? Just beating Ricko to the punch :)

I'm not a toner guy but that has a very appealing look to it.

Nice. My paternal Grandfather’s and paternal Great Grandfather’s coins have been the inspiration for a couple of my sets. Keep on and keep us updated.
