Heritage FUN sale of the McCloskey collection

Heritage auctions will be presenting the John McCloskey collection at the upcoming FUN convention and a dedicated internet sale following in February. The collection is rich in Seated Liberty coins, Classic Head gold and Bust die marriages. John was one of the most prolific numismatic researchers of the twentieth century co-authoring the standard die marriage references for bust half dimes, dimes and Classic head gold. He was a founding member of the Liberty Seated Collectors Club as well as the John Reich Collectors Society having been also elected to both of their Hall of Fames.
Collectors should find something of interest in the sale in collector grades with a few condition census examples sprinkled throughout the sale.
So, who is going to the convention? Be sure to attend the LSCC and JRCS meetings. I’m sure there will be a lot to talk about!

I will be going and for sure will be viewing some of the McCloskey collection!
There should be great interest in that collection. Look for a lot of strong prices.
I will check in on it but that is 3 leagues above where I currently play.

There will be something for everyone. John collected more in every man’s grades. Have a close look but don’t fall in love with the lots I want to bid on! 😳

Even the every man's grade gold is jumping. I am sure people will bid crazy money for these as well.
