Nice, buy why bother grading it? PCGS 69s are going for $46 on eBay.

I still agree with @messydesk as to cost in grading, but the cheapest I found one on ebay was $69 in 69 NGC. Most were in the $80 range and higher. Most were asking $80 raw.

Doesn't matter what they're asking. Look at the sold auctions.

Joey, you and I think the same....you grade the coin for preservation, authenticity and to add to your collection.

Resale value is further down the list unless you bought it to flip it. So why did you buy it? For your collection or an immediate flip?🤔

I like it. I think it’s good in the holder it’s in, but I know you love the PCGS plastic and if that adds to the coin for you, you’ll get your value out of the enjoyment.

To big a leap. Apples to oranges. 20X difference in value. Way more Kennedy collectors than platinum.

In 2014, I bought the 50th Anniversary Kennedy 2014 Half-Dollar Silver Coin Collection from the US Mint for $104.90 including the shipping. I think it's still in an unopened box.

I got some silver dollars in those PCS holders your Kennedy is in. I believe I was told they are a "self" slabbers when I posted pics of the holder.

Is that a big gash on JFK's face? If so, I would not submit to PCGS. I would just leave it alone, and enjoy it as is.

I understand your comment. MS70s are becoming expensive.

Assume platinum is $1000 per ounce. $10 coin is 1/10th of an ounce. Finding one of these "W"s in MS69 for a slight premium over face value is a bargain regardless of the number of platinum collectors today.

    Crackout!

Yeah guys, most of you did know I was going to attempt. Lol. Even if the coin doesn't reach that magic number (70), you know me. I always would rather have my collection in the prestigious PCGS holder, regardless. Will be sending in soon. Thanks
