2021 Reverse Proof AI why do I try?

Bought all the others and figured maybe they could do a good job. Wrong! Nice spot. I really don’t like spots. This is another lost series and not an enhanced mint experience 🤨 its going back

No no. I’ve cried my way through all 3 ase proofs releases and the CC Morgan and the Peace Dollar. Not a good one in the bunch. The 2-coin reverse proof ase had fairly nice coins. I just can’t seem to learn. Perhaps next year 🤨

    Another Mint innovation?

Not sure if the metal surface has been impacted. Did you try an acetone soak/rinse?? I do agree it should not be there in the first place. I have been most fortunate in my Mint acquisitions.... but have read other disappointing experiences here. Cheers, RickO

It would be very disappointing to open the set and to see that. Really noticeable on those wide open fields on that series

Ricko. It’s in that dang 4- coin holder. I have never opened one but I think they are sealed. That gives thought to removing them all but I hadn’t got that far. Thinking because this is a dead end series I will return it for a replacement and if I get a bad one I’ll return it again by that time January 6 should be here and I can go after the colorized Purple Heart coin. See there I go Hate the quality problems, can’t break the habit. What the heck am I doing 🙃

  • Damn...sorry to see that! You would think with something so easily visible, the QC at mint would have caught that!

QC seems a little lacking recently 🤨
I guess they should get some props for quick shipping but that’s really USPS doing good in my region 😉

These are easy to open, I use a knife on the long edge of the case to get the sides slightly opened, then slide fingernail or some other flat object down to a corner then around the perimeter. It pops right open and snaps back shut.

That said there will be no shortage of availability on these, I'd return it for a better set.
