Grades are in

One of my last bunch of submissions arrived back today:
Line Items Cert # PCGS # Description Grade Region
1 1 XXXXXXXX 7096 1880 $1 MS63 USA
2 1 XXXXXXXX 7188 1889 $1 MS64 USA

The 1880 is VAM67, and the 1889 is VAM55, neither attributed on holder. I thought both had a good shot at MS64, but I am happy neither got body bagged. Nothing special, just a couple of dollars I bought as a kid. I recently found them in the safe and wanted to protect them from myself as I seem to have an innate ability to drop coins.

Nice that those coins have history, and now are protected and have their flavor locked in.

Nice coins and nice solid grades. Good to get coins that you have had since very young, protected. They have sentimental value. I wish I had some of those I had collected as a kid. Cheers, RickO

You have to pay extra for the VAM identifications - I assume these are P mint Morgan’s - if you want to protect them without having to holder them you can use a really nice air-tight brand capsule - they work very well and can fit into a 2x2 flip to store in the PCGS coin holders. Do not mess with the bulk ones, the individually wrapped containers are much higher quality.
