The most hideous chop of them all

Usually when I see a single chop on a coin I find it tasteful, but in this case this one is so central, large and hideous I think it destroys the eye appeal of the coin. What do you guys think of this chop?

Maybe you could photoshop it out? 😜
I think it’s an overly cleaned ugly chopmarked trade dollar

I'm not even sure it's real. There is a lot of missing detail in the drapery on the near leg of Liberty. Dentils don't look right. There does not appear to be much "contra-coup" flattening from the chop. Would like to hear some more opnions.
My gut reaction was that the coin looks off. At the very least it’s been badly cleaned, and I also agree it could be worse than that. The chop isn’t the reason I don’t like it.
On a further look, there’s no flattening opposite the chop which strikes (ha) me as super suspicious.
here's one of my 75CC's compare the lettering and numbers on the rev with the subject.

A chop like that should've easily flattened an area on the reverse. It also looks fake.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
@kaz - That’s a gorgeous trade dollar!
I would pass on that one - and I like chopmarked Trade dollars.... For the reasons above... Looks bad to me. Cheers, RickO

I put that chop mark character in google translate and it says, "eBay fool buy my fake coin!"

Since the coin I posted has a type 2 rev let me post one with a type 1 rev that is also chopmarked.

Yah I have bought my fair share of raw trades off eBay and that one isn’t for me. I don’t see enough to think it’s real. Chop or coin
The chop’s edges & angles are too perfect and the coin doesn’t have the right relief

Late to the party (been away for a year-ish) but the chopmark on the OP coin is definitely fake. This tells me the coin is probably fake too.
"Your mother wears army boots."....... now that's a hideous CHOP.......if you're old enough to remember.
I have seen that chopmark before --on counterfeit Trade Dollars.
