I sold a 1955 Proof Cent which wasn't just die doubling, yet actually Double Struck.

But those do not look like the 1955 DDO lincoln cent, of rarity and value.

1955 must have been a bad year for the die makers. Doubled Dies everywhere,

Here’s one with a “slightly” lower asking price😉

The DDO with DDR is a nice dual variety. It's nowhere near as obvious as 1955 DDO-001, but the doubling can easily be seen with magnification on both sides.

It's required in all the Lincoln Variety sets that have proofs for 1955. The "marker" is the die gouge on the coller.

Crickets while everyone searches for their stored 1955 proofs....

I had totally forgotten about these.... Just checked the CPG so I could see the qualifiers. I still prefer the 'big one' of course. Cheers, RickO
