Do you buy yourself a Christmas gift and will it be a coin?

I do and it probably will.

Yes sir absolutely. I’ve been a pretty good guy this year ( there are those who might say otherwise). I really want some gold. A tenth oz would be nice. Everything is silver, copper or clad. Been watching all year and studying. Being as how it’s an example not the start of a new run I can be flexible about it but an AGE is probably better. But if not something silver and beautiful will do.

I have to admit - Christmas coins take a back seat to a 2 pound Lobster tail with a Wagyu steak.

The snake or the Colt revolver?

Or did you mean an Anorak or Adirondack, or maybe tickets to an ANAConvention?

I buy mass quantities of either silver eagles or peace dollars from Apmex in those merry Christmas plastic holders and give them out to my direct reports at work, along with a few other gifts, and also to my nephews, brother in laws etc…

I always buy extra and have them ready in case anybody gives me a gift that I didn’t expect. I get to keep any leftovers after all of that.

This year it’s uncirculated peace dollars. Hopefully I’ll get to keep a couple 🌞

Here’s what I ordered this year, good thing I ordered early because now they are out of stock

I have my eye on a coin in a Heritage Auction just after Christmas.

My gift to myself on pretty much every gift occasion is a "new" coin.

Just because I'm old doesn't mean I don't love to look at a pretty bust.

I do not buy gifts for myself.... but if I did, it would not be a coin. When I do buy a coin, it is for my collection, which I consider a lifetime pursuit - not much different than doing a home improvement. Cheers, RickO

I suppose it would be bad form to buy a coin as a "gift for my wife", who couldn't care less about coins, then then generously offer to store it with my collection.

No, but if I were to it would be a fuel injection unit for my hot rod.

    Bad form? Yes.

    Logical? Also yes.

    Go for it
