Type 1 - Type 2

Are ASE's going to be now known as Type 2's? I understand when there are two different ones minted in one year, but are we all going to be forever calling this newly designed Eagle the Type 2? I saw an offer today for the 2022 Type 2 Eagle presale, order now.....c'mon, there isn't a reason to call it a type 2 in 2022 is there?

Maybe we should call them the eagle reverse instead?
Silver Eagle 2.0
doubt the TPGs will include it on 2022 labels.
Repetition of ignorance is ignorance raised to the power two.
Why not for a extra $20 you can get a cert holder to match…
Hoard the keys.
The mint calls the type 1 “Heraldic Eagle”
Be nice to hear what they name this
The type 2 will be called “non-heraldic eagle”
No reason to use "Type 2" after 2021 for these, just like for 1914 Buffalo nickels and 1918 Standing Liberty quarters. Of course, our host continues to use "Shield" on cents, where there was never a need for such disambiguation.

I am not concerned with the appellation, just happy to have them. I will call them Silver Eagles... No further identification necessary. Cheers, RickO
