All bets are off with respect to grade guesses. Because, by the time the grade's posted - IF it's posted - the coin might have been regraded (at least once).

The graders may have pondered as well.
Seems difficult to grade, clashes bring it down yet the coin exhibits MS qualities, and then throw in a few hits and add some toning.
I see what appears to wear on the low end of Miss Liberty's cap. With this series, you really need to see the coin in hand and have some knowledge of the die variety. I've seen some CBHs in MS 66 which were missing some detail.

So I owe everyone an apology for the delay on the grade, my sincerest apologies as I was tied up with work and the week slipped by. She graded AU50 details, polished. I still love the coin, no obvious hairlines or rub under 20X. It will, at some point, be sent back in, either to our host or another as I think it deserves a straight grade. I will say that I had the coin for 5+ years in the blue envelope she was sent in. I don't believe the toning was there prior, at least not as colorful. Thank you to all who gave a stab at it, this is why feel the forums can be truly educational!

PCGS doesn’t assign numeric grades to details coins. The grade is “AU details.”

AU 50 details. I’m getting better at this. Second time in the last month I have nailed it 🙃
Sorry, but the coin apparently looks so different from the pictures upon which everyone guessed, I don’t think anyone nailed it or missed it by much. While fun, it was an exercise in futility. And I’d say the same if I’d guessed AU 50 or AU details. When images are off, you can guess “wrong” and still be “right” or guess “right”, but still be “wrong”.

Sorry. I found enjoyment in hitting 2 out of 20. I am new but your encouraging words shall keep me trying. 🤨

Looking on the bright side, maybe you were actually “right” on some of the 18 of 20 you thought you missed.😉

Indeed as bright side stuff I’ve bought more books than coins lately and I am getting to a point where I can give an opinion based on what I’m learning so.., very well sir. I shall consider it a win and thank you for your help. It does sound better thinking about how I did with the others 😉

Anyone who made a guess isn't looking too smart at this point...

Yep. A U 50. Maybe details.

So what is the grade?
Beautiful. Love the clashes. I'll guess 63
Paper money eventually returns to its intrinsic value. Zero. Voltaire. Ebay coinbowlllc

Post average 20 per anum..
We must simply be patient

Good info. By my calculations then, the grade should pop circa Thanksgiving!
Mark F says 63+ so my initial look at 45 shows I have no clue how to grade these. Truly amazing coin whatever the grade!
I could be way off.

I'll go with 64. Hard to judge luster from the photo because it seems they highlight color more. I don't see luster breaks on the high points.
I see the heard mentality starting to work!

Can you take some cell phone pics and post them?
Hard to believe “polished”
Better pics, maybe I'm wrong.

Look at the areas around the Eagle. On the cell phone pictures the surfaces look hazy and altered.
Unfortunately, the coin looks unoriginal and noticeably lower grade in the newer pictures.
