Why won’t eBay take it down when this obviously counterfeit item has been reported to them (by me, nearly 24 hours ago).

Holder is very suspicious. Not sure if the coin is ok or not.

The holder is perfectly fine. PCCB is a Chinese manufacturer of (among other things) coin supplies. They are friction-fit closures and often come with a hologram and labels you can put your own data on. Reasonably well made and seem to be inert.

The intent to deceive is creating a PCGS style "certification" number and putting an obviously counterfeit coin in there trying to pass it as genuine.

I don’t consider the holder to be “perfectly fine”, when it contains a fake PCGS grading label (in addition to a counterfeit coin).

A ) it's not a fake PCGS grading label, it (and the hologram) CLEARLY say PCCB

B ) The beef isn't with the slab manufacturer - they have a place to safely hold coins not worth paying a TPG to slab - but with the person who put a fake coin and a minimally confusing (will not say deceptive) label together.

That holder is very similar to the holder for my $10 Gold Eagle that is a counterfeit…..check out the gap between coin and holder…

I would have to disagree. The slab is CLEARLY a fake PCGS label. It says "PCGS" on the label. It uses a PCGS number and serial number that checks out on the PCGS cert lookup. This is CLEARLY a fake with the intent to defraud.

The holder is potentially fine insofar as, on its own, it isn't marked to be deceptive, though if NGC has any copyrights on their holder design, this PCCB one will clearly be violating them. That said, we aren't talking about "the holder" in a vacuum where we are looking specifically at the plastic pieces and separating out the label. "The holder" is clearly referring to the entire package, where the holder--whatever its source--combined with a label are intended to deceive. Yes, it would be more convincing if an NGC label were used because then the holder and label would align, but whoever created this most certainly had a fraudulent intent.
