Rick Snow literally “wrote the book” on Flying Eagle and Indian Head Cents! He is the foremost authority on those series. His Eagle Eye Photo Seal, signifying the coin is solid for the grade (sound familiar?) started on these two types of cents back in 1995, about a dozen years before CAC started. Many F.E. and IHC collectors covet the Eagle Eye Photo Seal even more than a CAC sticker for those cents!
Rick subsequently developed his P.D.S. grading system, where he assigns a score of 1 to 5 points for each of those three factors: Planchet condition, Die state (the earlier the better), and Strike.
In 2010 Rick was named the ANA Numismatist of the Year! Earlier this year, Coin World celebrated its 60th anniversary, and Rick was included in their listing as one of the most influential people in Numismatics! He is truly a positive asset to our wonderful hobby, and if you can’t tell by what I’ve written, he’s my hero!

A day without fine wine and working on your coin collection is like a day without sunshine!!!

That is good news... Welcome back Rick... Cheers, RickO
That reminds me that I have a couple coins I need to send for Rick’s sticker.
Nothing is as expensive as free money.
I bought this IHC from Rick Snow at the Denver ANA a few years ago.
Oh, that is so sweet! Why only 63?

Here's my one and only IHC, and she is currently on the way back from PCGS after posing for her glamour shot.

Nothing is as expensive as free money.
I remember when you bought that 77 Tom. Great coin!
Hope he starts posting here again.
