Opportunities galore! The Peace Dollar Vams on the 1923p.

Just realized, the 1923p Peace $ has 16 high
valued Vams. I'm letting the cat out of the bag. Lol.
All are easily detected. Going hunting today!

Here are just two of the 16.

The 22 also has some high value VAMs and the ever-increasingly popular 1921 has a few key ones, the VAM 1F (proof dies) is arguably the most valuable / there is currently one on eBay (MS66 VAM1F) for a ‘cool’ 40k .... the seller actually made me an offer for a tempting 38k .... checked my wallet and decided to pass - but maybe some day....;)

I have the "mustache" variety, VAM 12A. That's probably my favorite Peace Dollar VAM.

My first VAM discovery was on a 1923 Peace. VAM-1BC.

Ironically, I don't have ONE Peace Dollar coin!

All of them are some sort of VAM - just means they can be traced to a specific die. Many are very common but still a VAM. In my town, Ash Harrison owns a coin shop and he is a co author on a book about VAMs - here he is looking at one of my coins and that’s his book on the table:

The 34d are the only mainstream vams listed in the Redbook and few bother to include them in a basic set. There were almost too many peace vams that were very hard to see and it diluted the brand. I have always been a fan of the 23 doubled rays as the 2nd widest spread doubled due in the series. I of course am a fan of the 21 line though L vam3 and the 25p missing Ray as well
