I am also guilty of selling a few coins I wish I could get back - this is just part of being a coin collector, my friend!
Move on!! Don’t let it eat at you and just keep on keepin on!!
Yea easy come easy go.
Have had eight pieces of graded gold swept somewhere out in the Gulf after hurricane Ike, lost my house and my gold lol. I dream of walking the beach and recovering one someday but nothing on the detector all these years.
Life is still sweet.
I thought I was done with the busties (at least graded ones..) but now I'm not so sure...
I don't actually want my old coins back, except for maybe that 112a 😥

but getting you gold swept out to sea...that there is a bummer 😳
Yo Ho, Ho and a bottle of rum!
Yea truly sucked as they were coins passed onto me from my uncle. Today I have replaced 5 out of the 8, so one day the gang will be back together again.
I did not buy them, but that 1812 interests me... Mainly from a historical perspective. The last decade or so, I tend to be attracted to pieces that represent events in U.S. history. Cheers, RickO

Wow, sorry to hear that but your last comment means you have come to a point in life where what is truly important is in focus. I always wondered how often that type of thing happens.
I think we've all had seller's remorse although buyer's remorse is probably far more common.

I might have that 1812, you sold me a lot of coins a few years back-lol! I'd have to go look. Focusing on my Seated Liberty Half set these days.
@Capstick said: @jaypem What's the cert number on the 1812? Pretty sure I have it.
Maybe we could cut the coin into 3 pieces and each of us have one!
But if either of you does have have it and happens to be ready to sell, I'm just a PM away...😚

I’ll send you a pic of the coin when I get home. The little black dot at 3 o clock is a pretty solid indicator.

maybe offer some GOOD reward and they might just show up

Sure. I did put a VERY small hole in the 1811 and wear it around my neck. Since it’s that important to you I will sell it back but it will cost you.
I think that 1812 is a r.3 but its one of the toughest r.3 I can think of. Those die cracks are so cool.

It is a great variety!
The 1811 o-112a currently seems to be rated R5...I had it as an R4.
Now I really want it back 😄

I sold one of my fav coins to a collector on here and I don’t think I’ll ever get one as nice back: live and learn
