I have been muddying up the JJ Watt thread for too long with my Reggie White talk.
The title says it all.
I choose Reggie. I put LT a very close 2nd, although i could probably go either way. both were insane. I know there were some great earlier players as well: Deacon Jones, Ed Jones, Joe Greene.
Reggie was just a force. would have set an insane single game sack record in 1987 had it not been for the strike.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

Even LT himself sees it that way.
"In front of me I see guys like Reggie White (and) Deacon Jones," Taylor told the Houston Chronicle during an appearance on Saturday.

Lawrence Taylor or Alan Page

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
LT or Reggie White for me, it's hard to choose between those guys. I had forgotten that Reggie White had 3 sacks in Super Bowl XXXI.
LT
Don't forget Gino Marchetti -- I met him once while working at his burger joint (Gino's) when I was about 17. I read once that his agility/quickness re-defined the position of DE -- kinda like the prototype for today's best pass rushers. He unanimously made the HOF on his first ballot.

Nice rookie, LT blowing stuff up!
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
Mean Joe Greene
Terry Bradshaw was AMAZING!!
Ignore list -Basebal21
LT for sure
Lotsa good ones but - Frank Minnifield & Hanford Dixon in the browns secondary were killer!
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
Reggie White is definitely my vote for best, loved watching him. But I must say...Dick “Night Train” Lane ain't no effing joke. Watching his old footage he was trying to kill ya. Interviews of him telling how to use the forearm to "break a man" God take me off the field coach. Scariest defensive player in history imo.
Ounce by ounce the stack grows .
LT. He fundamentally changed the way the way the position was played.

Can't go wrong with Reggie White, either, a close second.
