2011 25th Anniversary AGE struck thru back from PCGS

air4mdcair4mdc Posts: 934 ✭✭✭✭✭

I finally submitted my AGE struck-through in for grading. The one ounce AGE came back “25th Anniversary”, MS68. It came out of a fresh roll of AGE’s in November 9th of 2011. I’m pleased with the holder and Truview.

    Thanks for sharing!

The picture probably does it justice, right?

Thanks for the comments. It’s a special one for us. My wife and I actually purchased it on the day of our 26th Anniversary from Harlan Berks, we were off by a year for something unique.

That should buff right out, hardly notice it.

Yes, it is a very deep strike thru. Unfortunately, I never did weigh it, as a forum member once suggested I should do.

Wow! I'm wondering about the weight. Was the weight every checked?

I never did check the weight........I never looked at it for the bullion weight vs the strike thru itself. Should have just for the fact of knowing.

Yea, I was curious how much might have been lost and if the Mint would send a partial refund :). Great find.

Wow... that is an amazing error on an AGE.... Strange that nothing appears on the obverse with that deep of a struck through... If you still have the coin, please have it weighed... would be interesting information for the forum. Cheers, RickO
