Never mind, nothing to see here.
The coins are "W" mintmarked!
Has this happened to anyone else? Guess I will send them back in exchange for the proper "S" coins, I just hope they don't tell me "tough luck, here is your refund"
Edit: I has an "S" on the reverse, I thought the designer initials was a mintmark.

Did you look on the reverse for the mint mark? Is the COA for San Francisco?
What a mess.
I ordered a 2017 limited mint set and the JFK half was just awful. The mint said that if I sent it back I would get a replacement -- WRONG. All I got was a refund and heartburn. Don't trust what the mint tells you - THEY SPEAK WITH FORKED TONGUE & don't tell the truth either. Best of luck with this.

Good call. The S has what appears to be a W mint mark but I think it is initials of the designer with the S mint mark on the reverse.😎
No...the S Mint mark is on the reverse
Never mind, that is the AW initials. There is an "S" on the reverse
Thanks to modern design technology, the updated obverse is a closer reflection of Weinman’s original vision and includes the addition of his traditional artist mark
Yup, techology that Dan Carr has had for 12 years!
The W on the obverse is the Initial of the coins designer, Weinman. The W on the back is for West Point or an S on the back is for San Francisco.
I see
That mistake has been made by several people.... And admittedly, without close scrutiny, the initials do appear to be a W..... Cheers, RickO
