If you have one coin I am wondering if it is loose? That year/mintmark is a proof-only issue so if it is not in a set or case then it is probably impaired/damaged.

For a P it’s most likely worth just $1, those aren’t rare

I was confused bc on ebay l see one guy sell 2000 p one dollar coin for 48k then l was watch one you tube that 2000p is rare

Believe very little of what you see on YouTube regarding coin collecting. These posters of videos care only about number of views, not dispensing accurate information.

There are a couple of varieties that are worth more, but a regular circulated one is worth $1 and an uncirculated one is worth about $1 to $5 depending on how perfect looking it is. If you just have one lying around it’s almost impossible it would be a rare variety so it’s pretty safe to assume it’s regular

A good way to answer that question is this: is there anything about it that makes you believe it is worth more than a few cents? Odds are that's all it's worth.

@Ninja.... Welcome aboard.... You received good input above. Coins of value can be found in change, but it is not common. You can get good information from a Redbook on Coins... (available at most bookstores or online). Also, if you post pictures here, you will get excellent information. Cheers, RickO

There are lots of YouTube videos that trick you into thinking you have an extremely valuable coin in your pocket change when there is a very small chance you actually have it. Look for defined tail feathers on the eagle, and it might be worth more than $1.
