for my part, i can't say either way. the images and/or lighting used will not permit me to commit.
i really don't like how the pointed bust looks like the type of 1860/1864 though; but could be the lighting. i do see how someone would be suspicious form those images.
The most obvious marker is the bottom feather. Coins 1886 Type 1 and before, the bottom feather was between I and C in AMERICA, later it is between C and A.

You are looking at a coin shot from above versus one shot from below. It could be fake but I've been fooled by perspective before.
When a coin is rotated the whole coin turns, not just the feather. This is truly a scary fake and why, because they can. Third party grading will be the only way to buy any value coins in the near future if not already. Scary to wonder whether this would have been caught by a grading company. Good eye @Picker195 but not really obvious at first glance.

Beyond the feather pointing to the wrong letters, it's the date that jumps out as wrong to me-- Then again this is the main series I collect. Always strange to me the dates you can come across as counterfeit that don't make monetary sense.

99% certain that coin is genuine. Toning might be suspicious, but hard to tell from the photo.
I looks real to me. An AU coin that would be good for an album collection.
What makes you think it is not real? Looks good to me.
Sure looks authentic to my eyes. Maybe "conserved" a bit but it's okay.

The bottom feather should be between C and A and the digits in date look off.
What they said. There is not a good reason to fake a coin that is worth less than 10.00. 100.00 coin makes more sense.
Rotate the coin and take the photo again
It's a stock photo
I changed it
The width of the bust is different too.
The date is off.
I agree it is a counterfeit.

Absolutely a counterfeit. The last feather should point between the C and A of AMERICA.

It's a horrible photo shot through a flip andat an angle which would elongate the date.
I think it's really hard to be certain.
The Chinese do make such items, but the photo has too many issues.
If you think that feather is gonna be off by a whole letters width from perspective then I'm not gonna argue it. It's as fake as fake can be.
I'll take some pictures, but when you view it at an angle from below the feather is going to APPEAR to be higher.
Picker 1954 is absolutely correct, there can be no question about it. You can't have a genuine 1891 with a type 1 obverse!
The shape of the eight and the tail of the nine are dead giveaways. Dell Darkener completes the fraud.

At first look, it would have fooled me.... However, the PUP's are there... It appears to be a fake. Cheers, RickO
Good eye... would have probably fooled me. But with the details you pointed out, have to lean towards fake.
It fooled me. Now that is a dangerous counterfeit! It is low enough in value to avoid scrutiny for not being slabbed.
